At WolfByte Robotics, FIRST Robotics Student Leadership empowers students to take charge of their team's success by fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth. Student leaders guide their peers across sub-teams, such as design, coding, public relations, and safety, ensuring every member's voice is heard and valued. At its core, student leadership is about creating an inclusive, dynamic environment where young leaders inspire and support each other while driving WolfByte Robotics' mission of building future innovators.

President | Will Meeker

Will Meeker joined WolfByte Robotics as a freshman after being inspired by his brother’s involvement, and he quickly developed a passion for the team and its mission. Now in his fourth year, Will leads as Team President, proud of WolfByte’s strong student-led foundation, which sets it apart from many other FRC teams.

One of his favorite moments was during the 2024 Midwest Regional, where the team came close to defeating the Hawaiian Kids in the Lower Bracket Semis, falling short by just 2 points in a thrilling match. With aspirations of earning blue banners, Will is focused on building a successful season and setting up strong leadership for the next generation, ensuring that WolfByte Robotics continues to thrive even as graduating members move on. His leadership, passion, and dedication to the team’s success leave a lasting impact on the WolfByte community.

Teresa Barajas joined WolfByte Robotics to step out of her comfort zone, explore her creativity, and connect with others. Over four years, she discovered a passion for electrical engineering and found a sense of belonging within the team. Teresa thrives on the collaborative effort that brings the robot to life, celebrating the rewarding moment when all the sub-teams’ hard work sparks a fully functioning creation. Inspired by the supportive FIRST community and her experience at Worlds, Teresa is committed to fostering a welcoming environment where teammates feel confident, grow their skills, and have fun. Her goal is to lead WolfByte Robotics to new heights—building not only an exceptional robot but also an exceptional team.
Co-Architect | Declan Burke
Declan Burke joined WolfByte Robotics in his freshman year after hearing about the fun and excitement from a teammate. With a long-standing interest in engineering, Declan has embraced the team’s sense of community, where everyone works together toward a common goal while forming lasting friendships.

Now in his third year, Declan’s most memorable experience was competing at the FIRST Championship, an event filled with excitement and learning, despite the team not performing as well as hoped. With a passion for mechanical and automotive engineering, Declan envisions a future where WolfByte Robotics grows by inspiring more students to explore engineering. He is driven to help the team achieve success, earn blue banners, and continue fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
Electrical Captain | Abigail Farias
Abigail Farias joined WolfByte Robotics to make friends and develop new skills, quickly discovering her passion for electrical work and the joy of collaborating with her teammates. Now in her second year, Abigail has embraced problem-solving as her favorite aspect of robotics, likening it to solving a puzzle she loves tackling every day.

Her most memorable experience was representing WolfByte Robotics at Worlds in 2024, which inspired her vision for the team to grow into an even stronger, more connected community. Outside of robotics, Abigail has a keen interest in environmental science and urban planning, areas she hopes to explore further. As Electrical Captain, Abigail is committed to leading with enthusiasm and fostering a supportive environment where every team member can thrive.
CAD Captain | Osiris Olvera
Osiris Olvera joined WolfByte Robotics to apply his CAD skills in a competitive and collaborative environment, while also connecting with new friends. Now in his fourth year on the team, Osiris thrives on the excitement of tackling challenges, finding joy in the fast-paced nature of robotics work.

His most memorable experience was competing at Worlds in 2024, a moment that reinforced his passion for teamwork and innovation. With an interest in biomedical engineering and prosthetics, Osiris brings precision and creativity to his role as CAD Captain. He is committed to improving the organization of the build space, making it easier for team members to find what they need and work efficiently, ensuring WolfByte Robotics continues to build with purpose and success.
Construction Captain | Sasha Weffer
Sasha Weffer’s passion for robotics was sparked by watching her sister thrive as Project Manager for the Chicago Style Botdogs. Inspired to bring her ideas to life, she joined WolfByte Robotics and quickly embraced the team’s collaborative spirit. Now in her second year, Sasha serves as Construction Captain, where she values the team’s strong sense of family—working together, supporting one another, and always communicating effectively.
Her favorite memory is the experience at Worlds, where she saw top-performing teams in action and brought their lessons back to improve WolfByte’s robot. Sasha is dedicated to making construction both engaging and educational, fostering a positive learning environment where everyone feels connected and motivated to collaborate. She has a passion for teaching, chemistry, athletics, and engineering. With her passion for teaching and engineering, Sasha leads with the goal of building not only great robots but also strong relationships across the team.
Coding Captain | Lucy Martens
Lucy Martens has always loved tinkering with electronics, a passion she shared with her dad. Encouraged by a friend, she joined WolfByte Robotics during her freshman year and quickly fell in love with the world of robotics. Now in her third year, Lucy serves as Coding Captain, where she values the collaborative spirit that brings the team’s hard work to life through their robot.
Her favorite memory is competing at FRC Worlds, especially during the Einstein matches, where the sight of full stands and thousands of people who shared her love for robotics made her feel at home. Lucy’s vision as a leader is to create a supportive environment where every member gains the confidence and hands-on experience needed to step into leadership roles. By involving newer members in all stages of the team’s projects, she hopes to set up WolfByte Robotics for continued success and work toward "Worlds Part 2!" with a robot that reflects everyone’s contributions and creativity.
Scouting & Strategy Captain | Matthew Del Preto
Matthew Del Preto joined WolfByte Robotics to connect with others and dive into the world of STEM. Now in his third year, he values the strong sense of community within the team and the social bonds they share. As Scouting and Strategy Captain, Matthew excels at analyzing competition strategies and fostering collaboration. His favorite memory is competing at Worlds, where he formed connections with other teams and strengthened relationships within WolfByte. With a passion for computer science, Matthew is dedicated to mentoring younger team members, ensuring WolfByte remains a thriving, experienced, and united team for years to come.
Public Relations Captain | Sadie Ward
Sadie Ward joined WolfByte Robotics to follow in her brothers' footsteps and pursue her passion for STEM. Over her three years with the team, she has embraced her role as Public Relations and Outreach Captain, excelling in managing social media and fostering connections within the community. Sadie’s favorite memory is attending Worlds, where she found inspiration from top-performing teams. Dedicated to promoting STEM and creating a fun, inclusive environment, Sadie works to spread the word about WolfByte Robotics and ensure every member feels supported as they pursue their passions.
Safety & Organization Captain | Jackson Becker
Jackson Becker joined WolfByte Robotics, with an interest in Mechanical Engineering, to explore his love for STEM and gain new skills. Sarah Kwansy joined WolfByte Robotics to connect with new people and broaden her horizons. Over the past two years, she has thrived as Project Manager, embracing the challenge of turning creative ideas into reality alongside a dedicated team. Sarah loves the collaborative spirit of building a robot from scratch and values the friendships and experiences she has gained through robotics.
