WolfByte Robotics (FRC #5822)

WolfByte Robotics participates in the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). After training in the fall, members have six to eight weeks to design and build a robot for competition. Our student-driven team, which includes members with prior FIRST experience, is eager to continue competing in FIRST robotics. Our robotics team is a part of the larger organization FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics. The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be leaders in science and technology by engaging them in a mentor-based program. This program builds STEM (Science Technology Engineering Math) skills, inspires innovation, and fosters self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

Our Mission

Our mission is to foster creativity, innovation, and collaboration among our students as we explore the exciting world of robotics. Through hands-on learning and problem-solving, we aim to inspire a lifelong passion for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Core Values

  • Cultivate the Ignatian Grad at Grad Values

  • Collaboration: Teamwork, open communication, and cooperation across sub teams and members.

  • Respect: Treat everyone with dignity, value unique perspectives, and create an inclusive environment
where everyone feels welcome and heard

  • Innovation: Create a culture of continuous learning and growth. Push the boundaries of FRC robotics
and tackle new challenges with curiosity and creativity.

  • Active Involvement: Promote outreach that inspires others to learn more about robotics and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.): Encourage Team members to give back to the community. Take pride in what we do as a team.

  • Fun: Enjoy and celebrate what we do!

  • Resilience: Encourage members to persevere through setbacks and failures. View obstacles as
