FLL Mentoring Initiatives

Since 2016, WolfByte Robotics has been dedicated to mentoring FIRST LEGO League (FLL) teams, nurturing young minds in the world of robotics. Currently, we proudly mentor three FLL teams from two local middle schools: Chicago Jesuit Academy and Ascension Catholic School. Our commitment to guiding these aspiring engineers is evident in our weekly meetings, where we work closely with grade school students to help them design, build, and program their own successful robots.

Our Mentoring Approach

During the fall season, we meet with each FLL team once a week, providing hands-on support and guidance throughout the robotics process. Our mentors bring their experience and passion for STEM education to help students:

  • Understand Robotics Principles: We introduce essential concepts in robotics, including design, engineering, and programming.

  • Develop Teamwork Skills: Students learn the value of collaboration, communication, and leadership as they work together to achieve their goals.

  • Solve Real-World Problems: FLL challenges encourage participants to think critically and creatively, applying their knowledge to develop innovative solutions.

Our mentorship not only focuses on technical skills but also fosters confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning in young minds.

Start Your Own FLL Team!

We are passionate about expanding opportunities for students in our community. If you’re a grade school educator or administrator interested in starting your own FLL team, we would love to help! With our experience and resources, we can guide you through the process of establishing a successful program that inspires and empowers students.
